NOTICE TO MEMBERS
The membership meetings scheduled for October 15, 22 and 23 have been canceled. As more people reviewed the proposed changes to the Restated Articles of Incorporation, a couple of legitimate concerns were raised concerning the portions of the proposal. In particular, there is a concern that members be allowed to participate in future amendments to the Articles of Incorporation and that certain of the Bylaw provisions remain part of the Articles of Incorporation. These changes are not inconsistent with the reasons for amending the Articles.
Because of the short time remaining before the scheduled meetings, there is not sufficient time to give notice of the proposed changes as required by the Bylaws. Consequently, rather than vote on changes that are less than ideal, it has been determined to cancel the scheduled meetings and reschedule a member meeting to a day certain during Spring Symposium. Notice of the meeting date, time and place and the proposed changes, as revised, will be announced well prior to Symposium.
