Course Description:
A two-day course available to any Level I or higher PSIA-AASI member. Principles of the ATML model, the teaching cycle, theories, and professional knowledge will be covered, along with identification of critical skills and skill blending, including freestyle-specific movement patterns that allow for efficient outcomes.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this credential, participants will be able to:
– Apply the ATML model – Use Air, Tricks, Machine-made features, and Landings as a framework for assessing terrain and planning freestyle lessons.
– Teach freestyle fundamentals safely – Deliver a progression that builds takeoff, air awareness, and landing skills with appropriate feature selection and risk management.
– Analyze freestyle movement – Identify the critical skills and skill blends (Speed, Pop, Spin) behind a given trick and prescribe a change.
- Two-day course. Level I certification in any discipline required. A Freestyle Specialist 1 certificate is awarded based on degree of participation and understanding. Earns continuing education credit (CEUs).
