Course Description:

The Stand-Up Equipment Level 3 On-Snow Assessment evaluates 3-track and 4-track teaching at the PSIA-AASI Adaptive Level 3 National Standard. Candidates demonstrate the ability to coach stand-up adaptive skiers to advanced, dynamic performance and to teach students with complex physical involvement.

WHAT TO EXPECT

– Advanced coaching – Develop dynamic, carved turns for 3-track and 4-track skiers and coach them confidently in steeps, bumps and variable snow.

– Complex adaptations – Solve equipment and technique problems for students with significant asymmetry, spasticity, fatigue-limited conditions or prosthetic constraints.

– Expert teaching and leadership – Show precise movement analysis, creative problem solving, and the ability to mentor other adaptive instructors.

Adaptive Level 2 stand-up certification is a prerequisite. Review the PSIA-NW Adaptive Certification Guide and bring a completed 3-Track and 4-Track Log.
