Course Description:
Ready for the Next Level?
The CS1 got you thinking? Got you excited about learning more about children, their development, and how to help them grow their love of snowsports? Then the CS2 is the next step. During the Children’s Specialist 2 credential you will continue your journey working with your young clients.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this credential, participants will be able to:
– Individualize for the child in front of you – Adapt pacing, language, and task complexity for a specific child rather than a general age group.
– Handle complexity – Manage mixed-age groups, challenging behavior, wide ability spreads, and difficult parent conversations.
– Mentor other instructors – Explain the reasoning behind your children’s teaching choices well enough to coach a CS1-level colleague.
Complete the workbook (email your completed copy to info@psia-nw.org) and the quiz at LMS.thesnowpros.org, then attend the on-snow event. Children’s Specialist 1 is a prerequisite. Earns continuing education credit (CEUs). Please be familiar with the Children’s Specialist National Standards.
