Course Description:

Just sayin’, what else would you want to do looking at all that great corduroy? This clinic explores the art and excitement of carving in a safe and rip-roaring fun atmosphere. Ski clean, efficient turns, tip to tail, while exploring the hill and leaving trenches all over.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this clinic, participants will be able to:

– Engage the full edge – Demonstrate tip-to-tail edge engagement to produce clean, sustained carved turns and a distinct track in the snow.

– Carve across varied terrain – Maintain efficient carved turns while changing pitch and turn shape, with control of speed throughout.

– Vary the arc – Adjust turn size and edge angle deliberately to change the shape of the carve.

– Carve safely – Assess snow conditions, traffic, and visibility to judge when and where laying down trenches is appropriate.

Alpine focused. Recommended for confident intermediate and advanced skiers. Earns continuing education credit (CEUs).
