Course Description:

During this clinic you will explore making a variety of turns from butter to carve and everything in between. We will explore a range of board/snow performance outcomes and the skill and fundamental blends needed to produce them, building better awareness and adjusting our blend of skills, fundamentals, and TID-bits (Timing, Intensity, Duration).

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this clinic, participants will be able to:

– Ride the full spectrum of turns – Demonstrate butter turns, carved turns, and the transitional turns in between, and describe the edge, pressure, and body position each requires.

– Adjust timing, intensity, and duration – Change the TID of flexion/extension, lateral, and rotary movements to produce a chosen board/snow outcome.

– Link turn styles fluidly – Combine different turn types in sequence while maintaining balance, and select the right one for the snow and terrain in front of you.

– Explain the blend – Name the skill blend behind a given turn so you can coach it, not just perform it.

Snowboard specific. Open to all certification levels. Earns continuing education credit (CEUs).
