Course Description:
What do Level 3 skiers do that we are working to do?
The main differences between Level 3 skiers and other skill levels typically involve more advanced techniques for initiating and completing turns, managing speed and edge control, navigating varied terrain, and demonstrating consistent, fluid movements. Some key movement patterns to focus on include:
- Efficient weight transfer and balance
- Dynamic edging and edging control
- Coordinated upper and lower body movements
- Adaptable turn shape and size
- Aggressive yet smooth pole plant timing
Learning Outcomes from this clinic:
- Identify the key techniques and tactics that distinguish Level 3 skiers from other skill levels
- Describe 5 specific movement patterns that skiers need to master to progress to advanced skiing abilities
- Explain how mastering these movement patterns can help skiers develop the skills required for Level 3 skiing
