Building on Senior Specialist 1, this course goes deeper into the senior-specific models, the teaching cycle, theories, and professional knowledge, including identification of critical skills and skill blending for senior-specific movement patterns.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this credential, participants will be able to:
– Handle complex senior profiles – Adapt lessons for students managing joint replacements, balance loss, limited endurance, or multiple conditions at once.
– Coach advanced senior performance – Develop dynamic, efficient skiing in older students who want performance, not just participation.
– Mentor other instructors – Explain the reasoning behind senior-specific choices well enough to coach an SS1-level colleague.
Two-day course. Level II certification or higher required. Senior Specialist 1 and completion of the online workbook and quiz are prerequisites. Earns continuing education credit (CEUs).
