Course Description:

Dropping into the Steeps During this clinic, you will learn how to start dropping into the steeps. This clinic will give you tactics and methods to use to get into the steeps, boost your confidence and then work on your steep skiing. Have fun and improve – win-win.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this clinic, participants will be able to:

Execute safe entry techniques – Demonstrate proper methods for initiating descent on steep terrain, including edge control, body positioning, and momentum management during the critical first few turns.
Apply steep terrain tactics – Utilize specific strategies for maintaining control on steep slopes, including appropriate turn shape, speed management, and line selection to navigate challenging terrain confidently.
Manage psychological barriers – Implement confidence-building techniques and mental preparation strategies that reduce anxiety and enable progressive skill development on increasingly steep terrain.
