Course Description (NW – Trainer Training):
Member School Trainer Program
This program was created to support our schools, and their trainers, in supporting their staff. At the start of each season, schools send a list of their approved trainers to register for the program. Content for the season-long training is set in advance and trainers may participate in any or all of the sessions. Through this program, trainers come away with information to take back to their school to support their staff.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
– Deliver consistent training – Present current PSIA-AASI technical and teaching content to your staff in a way that matches divisional standards.
– Coach the coaches – Give useful, specific feedback to instructors of varying certification levels and experience.
– Build a season plan – Take the season’s material back to your school and turn it into a training calendar that fits your staff’s needs.
Open to trainers approved and registered by their member school. Season-long, multi-session format. Earns continuing education credit (CEUs).
Additional Event Details:
REGISTRATION FOR THE SEAON PROGRAM ENDS DECEMBER.
*To participate in symposium sessions, you will need to have participated in two on-snow sessions from December – March, it is not available as a day purchase.
**When registering, you will only be able to do it once, so if you select something you aren’t able to participate in, you will need to contact info@psia-nw.org or text 206.244.8541 to let us know a week before to cancel you. And if your schedule opens up and you’re able to participate in something and want to add, again email or text us two weeks out, and you will be added, if there is space.
