Course Description:

During this clinic you will explore making a variety of turns from Butter to Carve and in-between. We will explore a variety of board/snow performance outcomes, the necessary skill and fundamental blends to Butter, Carve and perform a variety of turns in-between! We will achieve this by developing better awareness and adjusting our blend of skills, fundamentals, and TID-bits (Timing – Intensity – Duration).

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this clinic, participants will be able to:

• Execute a spectrum of turn types – Demonstrate butter turns, carved turns, and transitional turns in-between, showing proper body positioning, edge engagement, and pressure control for each style.
• Apply TID-bit adjustments – Modify the timing, intensity, and duration of fundamental movements (flexion/extension, lateral movement, and rotary skills) to achieve different board/snow performance outcomes.
• Transition fluidly between turn styles – Link various turn types in sequence while maintaining dynamic balance and selecting appropriate techniques based on snow conditions and desired performance outcomes.
