Course Description:
Learn to use AI tools to personalize and gamify your kids’ lessons. You will practice using popular large language models such as Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and ChatGPT to combine the interests of your students with your skill-based prescriptions.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
– Write a useful prompt – Give an AI tool enough context about the student, the terrain, and the technical goal to get a genuinely usable result.
– Personalize and gamify – Turn a student’s interests into a game, story, or challenge that still delivers the intended skill development.
– Apply sound judgment – Evaluate AI output for technical accuracy and age-appropriateness before using it with a student.
You will be using these tools during class, so please install or set up the apps on your phone or computer beforehand. Earns continuing education credit (CEUs).
