Course Description:

Join us for a day learning to telemark. This one-day clinic is designed for skiers eager to explore the art of telemark skiing, and it is a solid opportunity to learn the fundamentals or refine your technique in a supportive environment.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this clinic, participants will be able to:

– Perform the telemark turn – Demonstrate a functional telemark stance, lead change, and linked turns on beginner to intermediate terrain.

– Understand the gear – Identify the boots, bindings, and skis used in telemark skiing and check that a setup is safe and appropriate.

– Manage weight transfer and edging – Distribute pressure between both skis and engage the edges to control speed and turn shape.

– Adapt to the day – Adjust stance and tactics for the terrain and snow conditions encountered.

Telemark specific. No previous telemark experience required. Earns continuing education credit (CEUs).

Stevens Pass is supporting this clinic with lift tickets for those who do not have a season pass.
