Course Description:

Examiner Training is the professional development pathway for PSIA-NW divisional staff – examiners, divisional clinic leaders and those working toward those roles. The focus is on calibration to the National Standards, assessment integrity, and the craft of delivering education and evaluation to fellow professionals.

WHAT TO EXPECT

– Standards calibration – Score and discuss the same performances as a group to keep assessment consistent across the division.

– Assessment skills – Practice evidence-based scoring, clear written and verbal feedback, and defensible decision making.

– Clinic leadership – Refine group management, session design and the people skills required when your students are experienced instructors.

Attendance is by selection or invitation for current and prospective PSIA-NW divisional staff. Contact the PSIA-NW office for information on the staff application and training pathway.

Additional Event Details:

This training is for alpine, snowboard, adaptive & telemark education leaders only.
