In Memory of Franklin Bradshaw

Franklin was a PSIA member for many years and taught skiing at Ski Acres and Stevens Pass before moving on to coaching and being active in the racing world (he was a volunteer on the slopes for the Vancouver Olympics, yearly at the Lake Louise downhill race).  The past few years he has been very active in hiking, mountaineering and climbing — finishing his 500th climb in Columbia in December. He passed away on January 18th in a mountaineering accident. There is quite a bit of information on the web:

A Celebration of life will be held at the Mountaineers on Saturday, March 15th.

The Mountaineers
7700 Sand Point Way NE

Franklin was dedicated to sharing his love of the outdoors with others and was committed to pass that passion on to the next generation. So, in lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to The Mountaineers youth programs towards establishing a Franklin Bradshaw Youth Fund Attn: Development, 7700 Sand Point Way N.E., Seattle, WA 98115 (e-mail for electronic instructions).
