We are working to place online, and on snow, events for you. The only constant is change, we hope less than last year. Please check our COVID page for any updates due to the virus. If you don’t feel well, let us know and stay home. Before any on snow event, we will have a list of health questions for you to complete. On snow events will be direct to lift, your car your “chalet” for the day, masks are required, social distancing expected, following all resort rules, and loads of patience :). 

And the usual, we make every effort to run all events. If the event you are registering for cancels for any reason, we will notify you.

Education Credits

Continuing education (CEU) events are designed to help you learn and grow as a snowsports professional. They also serve as an opportunity for you to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and trends in your discipline. Every certified member of the NW Division is required to attend at least 6 CEU each season (usually one day on snow). 

All events, online sessions, etc. will list the number of CEUs provided.

Note on Education Credits

You may only accrue up to 12 CEU; i.e. if you attend a one-day event in January for 6 credits, then take an exam in March which provides 12 credits, the total credits will be 18, and take care of things for the current season and the next. You can always check your credits by looking at your profile at

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Full refund less $30 admin fee for cancellation 10 business days from event
  • No refund for cancellation less than 10 business days from event
  • No show, no refunds
  • A complimentary event transfer (requested 7 days before original registered event) can be performed one time, after that, there is a $30 admin fee for each event transfer
  • Our admin fees are non-refundable

Request for Non-PSIA-AASI Credit

To receive credit for a non-PSIA-AASI event, we require a request for approval of the event in advance. The request must provide us with details of what the event will entail and its duration. Complete the downloadable form below and e-mail to

The “Outside” credit policy allows members to count certain non-PSIA-AASI functions towards continuing educational credit, contingent upon pre-approval, and a $35.00 administration fee. It is important to remember this request can only be used once every three seasons. The purpose of this policy is to allow members who wish to broaden their base of experience to do so, while at the same time meet their continuing education requirements. Please note, requests need to be completed for participation or attendance of outside events occurring in the current season.

Wondering about the people skills and how they are relevant to us? This four-week online eLearning course will focus on the People Skills Chapter in the PSIA-AASI Teaching Snowsports Manual and the People Skills Fundamentals.  

At the completion of this four week course, you will be able to share what each of the People Skills fundamentals are, how they help improve the lesson experience, and understand, and be able to apply the People Skills Fundamentals helping you to become “great instructors” providing extraordinary guest experiences.  

Minimum Technology Requirements:

Make sure you will be able to participate fully by ensuring all of your technology is properly setup. Minimum requirements are:

  • System – Laptop, computer, or large tablet (with stand) that gives you enough screen space to see the videos and each other. A phone will not be enough screen space for this class.

  • Video Camera – Built in or separate. If you don’t have a camera – Logitech is a good brand with some less expensive options on Amazon 

  • Microphone – built in computer microphones are terrible for video calls so you will need a headset or nice pair of earbuds with a microphone attached.

  • Internet Speed – The video call software we will be using is Zoom. It has recommendations here.  For our class you should have at a minimum of 1.5Mbps/1.5Mbps (up/down).

Online Learning Etiquette:

  • Mute when not talking – lower left corner

  • Video camera is on, preferably at all times

  • Physical thumbs up for group OKs

  • Zoom Reactions (task bar at bottom of screen):  thumbs up or hands clapping

  • Group Shares:  use the “Chat” bubble

  • Share your thoughts:  use the “Chat” bubble &/or raise “hand” in chat

  • Zoom speaker view vs classroom view (able to see all participants)

  • If you are noticing your internet is having issues, try turning off your video and seeing if that works
