Remote Movement Analysis 201 – Prescription
Develop and hone your prescription skills in our second course of the PSIA-NW Remote MA offering. Remote MA 201 – Prescription is the follow up to Remote MA 101 – Observation and Evaluation. Over 4 weeks, you will practice a variety of ways to approach prescription through a guided review of film selections by an experienced MA facilitator. You will also explore how to effectively give feedback so your prescription has the biggest impact. Come prepared to use the accuracy you developed in your observation and evaluation skills as they are the foundation for effective prescription. Each class will last 2 hours to provide adequate practice time following the same format of break-out discussion pods and whole class summaries.
Prerequisites: Remote Alpine MA 101
Make sure you will be able to participate fully by ensuring all of your technology is properly setup. Minimum requirements are:
- System – Laptop, computer, or large tablet (with stand) that gives you enough screen space to see the videos and each other. A phone will not be enough screen space for this class.
- Video Camera – Built in or separate. If you don’t have a camera – Logitech is a good brand with some less expensive options on Amazon
- Microphone – built in computer microphones are terrible for video calls so you will need a headset or nice pair of earbuds with a microphone attached.
Internet Speed – The video call software we will be using is Zoom. It has recommendations here. For our class you should have at a minimum of 1.5Mbps/1.5Mbps (up/down).
