Medium Radius Turns

(blue and easy black terrain) Ski a series of round, carved turns of consistent size and speed, in a corridor, between 1½ to 3 packer widths wide.

Key Performance Focus

  • Upper body is quiet and stable
  • Upper and lower body move into and out of a counter rotated attitude
  • Legs turn more than the upper body
  • Turning movements originate in the feet and legs
  • Skis are tips, engaged and carving before the fall-line with limited pivoting
