Greg Floyd

On October 8th the snowboarding community lost one of its members, Greg Floyd, of Yakima, Washington. Greg loved to live life to the fullest-snowboarding, skiing, scuba diving, police officer, second degree black belt in karate, and defensive tactics instructor. Greg died diving in the Puget Sound by Tacoma. He was a National Ski Patrol member, and the Northwest Division Snowboarding Advisor. He also became a snowboard instructor, attaining his Level II certification. He taught at Whit Pass and for Ski Masters Ski School, at Snoqualmie Pass.

Greg attended as many PSIA/AASI clinics and events as he could, always striving to improve his teaching and riding. His students spoke highly of him. Greg, your "over 40" road trip buddies (Randy, Trent, and I) are going to miss the heck out of you. You were a wonderful friend and a dedicated professional.
